JOHANNESBURG - The largest debt counselling company in the country, DebtBusters, says inquiries for counselling soared 18 percent in the last three months of last year.
It says those who applied are battling to keep on top of their finances.
A survey shows their real income had shrunk by 25 percent over the past five years if inflation is stripped out.
DebtBusters has warned consumers that the recent interest rates hike, the rise in food and fuel prices will hit consumers hard if they don't budget smartly.
